Fop.

I was faced with a choice, at a difficult age. Would I write a book, or should I take to the stage

A MATTER I LIKE TO GIVE SOME THOUGHT TO PERIODICALLY

Oh! Remember back in the day when Leann Rimes piqued everyone's interest by busting out a short repertoire of really good songs? "Right kind of wrong"? "Life goes on"? "Suddenly"? And commissioned scads of dance mixes for gays? And how it used to be such a lark to spread highlarious rumours about how her duet with her brother Busta should not be very far off at all?

Then something happened and I sort of lost interest in Rimes. But apparently in June this year she artfully prepared a pop album called "Whenever we wanna" which made #24 in Ireland according to her Wikipedia page (which also contains the startling statistic that LR has released 14 albums in her career). Perhaps this is something I ought to investigate, as part of "Pop Rediscovery 2006".

In conclusion: Leann Rimes used to be a balladeering dullard. Then she was good for a short time and then bad again. Possibly now she is good again BUT I JUST CANNOT SAY FOR CERTAIN. (I also understand that her new album comes with a free packet of Leann Rimes mints when it is sold in certain European countries which is a very nice touch.)
