HELL NO POSSIBLY

So, we just saw the video for Ricki-Lee "Disco Cow" Coulter's first single 'Hell No'. And we are almost certainly going to be booted out of the elite popblogging circles in which we like to move it, move it...

But, we LOVE IT.

(She has all these hilariously attired people dancing round Melbourne's Banana Alley Vaults! And she's bellowing at a bouncer of a club that INEXPLICABLY won't have her as a patron! And she's all yelping and hollering the whole time! IT IS GREAT, isn't it?)

At the very very least, we think it's safe for Australia to call off the search for an act to send to Eurovision for when we're allowed to participate (Fop is currently working towards a 2009 "target date").

(are we totally going down for this)

I wish I could put an image of a broken heart up here...

I guess it's just down to me...

What do you mean? I'm fairly sure Crystal and Claire both still hate R-L.

(Would you just let me be over dramatic! It's kind of my thing in this whole RLC thing, given she is clearly the worlds worst human being)

It's all up to me, it's down to me to stop the plague...

(See, like that)

I certainly sucked the fun out of that, didn't I.

Even though I don't exactly hate her, I would be so happy if the CFBgoepop girls launched an instore operation to prevent a single purchase of the single from happening, as per your plan. Is this still going ahead??

How interesting. I didn't see the vid as I was in bed. I wonder what "club" it was that she wasn't let into down there, ay?

I haven't heard this yet, but it is downloading as we speak and as long as there is no pretention towards being a proper artist it will probably be OK but the album will be shit unless they've flown in some especially especially talented Swedes or Norwegians to actually write and produce the damn thing.

"Hmm. We need a bit of an R&B flava on this track, don't you think, Ricki-Lee?"

"Why, yes, yes I do."

"Let's call in the Rockmelons!".

I hate Australia.

I wonder who has been drafted in for the album. I'm quite optimistic really, particularly considering someone saw fit to purchase Tammin Sursok songs from The Location and a (not-very-good) Metro Mix. Perhaps there was a sale on.

You'll be pleased to know that we've combined your post on the 31st May with this one, to create a very good idea...

"Hell No" gets a tentative THUMBS DOWN from me. It's not atrocious, but WHERE IS THE DISCO?

Oh Edward, I was sad about The Missing Disco too. Maybe there'll be some on the album. But they do seem to have turned her into a Tamara Jaber tribute act, haven't they. You need to see the video though.

Nadine, I am glad you are on the Disco Cow Bandwagon with us! And, quite right about the respectful silence in the dance class.
