AN OBSERVATION

For a TV channel that acts like it's so attuned to the needs and cultural mores of its youthful demographic, how is it that channel 10 keeps raunchily advertising "The O.C." as being drama with "the same bitchin' attitude"? Do they mean "bitchy" attitude? It seems like they do mean this, as they keep reminding viewers how much we all apparently loved "Melrose, Dawson, 90210", and then saying that "The O.C." is a show with the "same bitchin' attitude".

They must mean bitchy. A TV show with a "bitchin'" attitude sort of suggests that it has an attitude which is "good" or "cool". An example of a TV show with a "good" attitude is "The 7.30 Report". Its attitude is good because it wishes to educate the nation, about current events. Some people would think that was bitchin'. But what Channel 10 mean to do is evoke sneering and constant, heady catfighting between Jennie Garth, Shannen Doherty, Katie Holmes and Heather Locklear. The invocation of Kerry O'Brien probably is not appropriate here.

This unnecessary and frankly embarrassing confusion would not be happening if Gretel was running things at the yellow and blue channel.

I want this Kerry O'Brien fetish explained in somewhat of a 1000 word essay.

It was Channel 9 who had it before, that's why Channel 10 are saying that it is "where it should be." I'm just ANNOYED that they are putting it on at the same time as The Bill. No one could beat Kathy Bradford as a bitch.

If this post mentions Shannen Doherty, I'd like to mention how superior she is compared to Jennie Garth

My work is now done
