A CELEBRATION, TO LAST THROUGHOUT THE YEARS WEEK

We're about to launch our first "theme" week. And due to our love of:
*comedy tropicana;
*geography; and
*pop,
you can see what's coming, can't you.

WELL, CAN'T YOU?

It's the week-long fiesta of Fop's Queensland Pop Dairies Diaries!

Edition 1: Gina G

Surely it is time for Gina to return to Australia to judge some sort of talent show in a Paula Abdul-stylee? And by this we mean, pretending that a demi-career consisting of brief flashes of pop brilliance and a fair amount of unadulterated pap constitutes license to be "the nice judge". Apart from being from the most hilarious state in Australia, Gina's association with Queensland was a featured vocal on a song called "Love the life" by an early-mid 1990s Australian group called Bass Culture. The video, you see, was "tropical" in theme. QUEENSLAND IS ALSO TROPICAL IN, ER, THEME.
High point: The thrilling, dizzy heights of "Gimme Some Love"
Low point: Her battle with heroin addiction
Stereotypical Queenslander quote: "My fans, they're priceless. Priceless jewels, with heartbeats."

Oh, YES. Consider this ill-conceived theme week bloody well LAUNCHED.

Tomorrow, how about a bit of everyone's favourite darling of stage and screen, Sophie Monk?
